July 31st - Pierre's Echo Bay

This morning there's a marine layer here which we had in Simoom also.  The temp is 61' at 7:30.  Our friends are going fishing at 8:00 & also picking up their crab pots.  They're hoping to get more salmon & some halibut.  Then sometime later today Dee, Carolyn & I will go kayaking.  Morris's bought my friend Jan's 2 Hobies this year so we'll all be pedaling.  

I just found out that Shadow jumped off the boat twice while I was gone yesterday (not once!) - I'm not sure that was fully disclosed.  Had to hear about it while listening to Rod talk to the ham guys this morning - hmmmm!

Well we didn't go kayaking today - everyone started doing laundry & ran out of time.  Rod was working on several boat projects so my kayak never got into the water either.  I was the first one to the laundry & did my towels.  Carolyn was next & then came Dee.  Everyone was trying to use the machines since a lot of boats left & this afternoon new boats arrived.

We had a great time with Morris's & Ihrigs tonight.  We had cocktails & dinner on our flybridge - steaks, baked potatoes & 4 bean salad.  We had a great tequila cream liqueur from Mexico for dessert.  I think I hooked Dee & Carolyn on my favorite new drink - vodka, cranberry juice made with soda stream & a lime. Introduced by Heather & Dylan when they went out with us in June.
