Last night, before dinner, I did see the baby & momma seal. They were very cute - the baby was riding on its mom's back & another boater who is here every year told us that the mom is trying to teach it to climb on the logs near the docks.
We left at 8:40 which was an hour + before we had planned, but since it was still pouring decided we might as well go. 3 boats left before us & 1 came in as soon as they left. We actually put our foul weather gear on - I had pants, top & boots on as I put the lines & fenders away. Anka said that last night was the most people they've ever had here - probably because of all of the children. She thought she was going to run out of chairs for the dinner.
This is the 1st time that we didn't see any Dolphins at Kwatsi. In the past there have been many in the channel going into the marina & they've also come into the bay in the morning or at the happy hours to entertain us. Other boaters who were at the marina when we arrived said they had seen them but unfortunately we never did.
This is probably the 1st time we've been running with the windshield wipers going non-stop. Shadow finally came up around 11:15 (he often doesn't appear until after the engines stop) & was batting at the wipers on the windows. Obviously he didn't understand what they were doing!
Arrived at Pt Harvey at 12:40 & the rain stopped when we were heading in & didn't restart but it's been windy. We're having dinner in the restaurant at 6pm - salmon burger for me & ribs for Rod. There is no power here this time, apparently the generator isn't working.
There are 8 boats here tonight. This afternoon Rod did a little more work on our odor problem. Still wasn't totally fixed. We'll see how this adjustment works.
