Tonight we're barbequing salmon that Harvey caught & gave us when we were here earlier in the summer (our RVYC friends). Dale Henley showed Rod how to make the salmon with beer which he did for many years at SYC Henry Island. That's how he made it when we had dinner on Dale & Nancy's boat in Prideaux Haven. We cut up the cabbage we got in Pender & I made cole slaw with it.
Also, tonight we are FINALLY having lychee nut martinis with vodka for happy hour (actually our 1st martinis on this trip). We learned to love lychee martinis in Maui - we bought them before we left & this is the 1st time we've used them. They were every bit as good as we remembered.
We have been using our air conditioning in the afternoon but today we've had it on most of the day. It got up to 82' today & that would mean close to 100' inside without air conditioning, as we can't open doors & windows very far with Shadow on board. Speaking of Shadow - today I put a new bag of dried food in "his room." I hadn't opened it but when I went down to check his sand box, I found the bag - he'd gotten into it & basically shredded it. He loves to eat paper & I think that's how it started. Now the food is in a plastic bag in a drawer. Seriously....???
