July 9th - SYC Cortez Outstation

It looks like it's going to be hot again today - already 73 at 8am.  Last night we had a really nice breeze on the flybridge for our cocktail hour but by the time we had dinner up there the breeze was gone.  This morning I went kayaking with Nancy (SB neighbor) & Cricket, her poodle.  We were out for 1-1/2 hrs & it felt great.  My back was a little sore in the Hobie but I think that's a seat adjustment issue.  Most of the boats here left while we were out - there are only 5 of us left.

We've been using our air conditioning in the salon every night & today put it on at 2pm.  The cabin gets up over 90 if we don't use it.

Tonight we went to our friends, Harv & Maggie's, for dinner at RVYC outstation.  We had salmon that Harv caught yesterday.  We brought a salad & an appetizer.  They were 1 of 2 boats that were always on our raft in Desolation Sound/Scobel Island.  Another couple from RVYC joined us for dinner too & brought shrimp.  So our dinner was a pink & a red salmon, prepared 2 different ways, cole slaw, shrimp & a wonderful pie with ice cream that the baker that comes to SYC & RVYC made.
