July 21st - Potts Lagoon

It was 59' at 7am but looks like it's going to be another beautiful day here.  Today is laundry day for my clothes & Rod's (2 loads).  Thank goodness for the watermaker.  The water tank is full & I'm sure will get topped off again.  The generator will be on for a few hours too so we can use the dryer.  It takes forever so usually things get hung all over the boat to finish drying.  Also changed the sheets on our bed.

Joe & Diane came by to invite us over for drinks tonight on their boat.  They'll pick us up after Rod's BC boaters net which he does every night at 5pm.  It's interesting to here where people are & what the weather has been like in different parts of BC (this is a ham radio group).  Rod also talks to his ham group at home every morning at 7:30.  They've been following our blog & are always interested in hearing Shadow stories since they all have dogs.

There are 8 boats here tonight - several left this morning & have been replaced (only 1 sail).  We ended up having dinner with Joe & Diane , in addition to drinks.  And, it looks like we are headed to the same place tomorrow - Crease Island.  We are really enjoying our time with them.  They have a blended family & have 18 grandchildren - hard to imagine as we only have 4!  Their boat is beautiful - 48', made in Brisbane, Australia.  The hull is made of eucalyptus wood (blue gum) & they have a beautiful wood interior that is multi grained.  They bought it from a U.S. owner 3 years ago.  It was built in 1971.
