July 12th - SYC Cortez outstation

Today it didn't start raining until mid morning, about the time we decided to put my kayak back on the boat...of course.  We put it up on the dock earlier so I could wash it & then brought the dinghy back to the swim step.  We forgot that was how the kayak gets pulled up so Rod extended the lines by adding another rope on both sides so I could get it around the bow of the boat & back to the hoist.  

Decided to do 1 more load of laundry as we won't come back here before we head north.  It rained on & off all day.  Thís afternoon we went by dinghy to say goodbye to Harv & Maggie.  Turned out Harv was walking over to SYC to give us some salmon he caught this morning.  We saw him coming back & turned out he didn't make it over as it was further than he thought walking from RVYC.  We visited for awhile & will see them again in Prideaux Haven in August on our way back south.
